The Mill Worker

Headed up to Belfast to day in search of some images for my Architecture assignment. Some familiar sights. It is hard to get images without some half constructed building or tower crane in the background.

The first photo is a statue called the Mill Worker situated outside the Waterfront, with the new Law Courts in the background.

This is my first post of 2009 so to anyone who reads this blog my very best wishes for the year ahead.

(as always click on the photo or a larger image)

Pensioners Christmas Party 2008

Last night was the Midland Senior Citizens annual Christmas Party and turned out to be an action packed night of entertainment.
The evening started with the Christmas dinner which in my humble opinion was second to none, Soup, Roast Beef and desert to finish.

Entertainment kicked off with a few songs from Peter, Richard and myself.

We then had Tina Turner, A couple of swells, the Spice girls, Carla with a guitar solo (wonderful tonight), the cast from South Pacific (wash that man right out of my hair).

Ardy
and Sylvia did their usual magic with some songs that always go down well.

Santa arrived on time and did his thing and Peter finished off the night with a strange Tom Jones sort of thing.

All in all a great night, and its all over for another year. Strange thing this year there seems to be more men that ever before???

All Dressed up!

My wee friend from next door was off to a family wedding today, I thought I was going to miss him all dressed up, but it turned out that I was in the office so had time for a quick snap, doesn't he look well.

Wedding Day

Lorraine and I photographed Julie-Anne & Neils wedding on Thursday. Jt and Elaine were guests so I had a quick opportunity to get a snap of all three together.
