Banbridge Rugby Football Club

Had a few hours free this afternoon so I decided to see if there were any Rugby matches on. Banbridge were playing Bangor at home. Don't know what the final score was but when I left Bangor were well ahead, and seemed the better team.

Little Girl

Just love this photo, the little girls gaze is so engaging and I think the Black & White add a sense of mystery.

Showstoppers

You plan for something for months and all of a sudden its upon you. Thats how Lorraine felt this week. Ballydown had their holiday bible club this week under the name of Showstoppers. It was a brilliant week with 90 or so kids coming every day and taking part. The amount of talent from all age groups was just amazing, from musicians, dancers, drama, leaders its just great to see so many talanted young people working together.

(just a few photos as always click on the photo for a larger image, have a look at 2 & 3 the ballons were filled with fresh cream)

Simply Brilliant!!!

There are certain people who send me emails from time to time, and because of experience you think twice before opening them. I clicked on this link hesitantly and almost bust my sides laughing, it was probably just as well that I was alone. This is the funny-est thing I have seen in years. If you want a good laugh click the link below.

Paddy and Normas Wedding

Lorraine and Janet worked with Norma for many years in the nursery department of Houstons, so the news of a wedding created a lot of excitement and missions to find outfits and all that kind of stuff. The day was splendid and the wedding was lovely. Both the service and reception were held in the Burrendale hotel, Newcastle. The Burrendale was nothing new to Lorraine and I as we spent our honeymoon there some 30 years ago and were one of their first guests. The meal was excellent and I couldn't fault it in any way. The official photographer was a very friendly guy called Brian Byrne, who could not have been more gracious to me and invited me to join them on the beach for some photos, which was great fun.
I have a load of photos but am holding off posting them until the couple return from the honeymoon in Vegas. So as they say mtk...

My Bert

Watch a wee film the other night called Marley and Me. Have to say that I could see similarities between Bert and Marley. He has been a great friend, never stops loving you and always willing to please. Bert is around nine now and I can see him slowing down, I know the day is coming but I hope its not for a while yet. Good friends are hard to find. Painted the utility room and wanted to see what the colour would be like as a background.

Bert

Not so Lucky

For those of you who berated me for holding the last Rabbit by the ears, I would imagine this little fellow would have been delighted to have been rescued by a similar method of extraction, alas too late for this chap. I would love to be able to say this one made it also but by this stage the cat (Ernie) had done the deed.
