Runher 2013

Last night the girls got a chance to show what they are made off.  Lorraine, Verdi and Lynn took part in the Runher Coastal Challenge.  A gruelling run/walk from Hollywood to Crawfordsburn.  Lorraine and Lynn walked and Verdi ran the route, and fair play put in a respectable time.

The run is used to raise money for various charities and raise awareness.  The girls chose to raise money for Cancer.  The participants come in all shapes and sizes and age groups.  It was a very enjoyable, well organised event and a beautiful night.

The winning time was just over 36 mins which is incredible.

Well done to everyone!

Just another weekend

Met up with Jim and Laraine for a lovely dinner at the Templeton Hotel on Saturday. Lorraine's brother George, his wife, Collette and their daughter Grace were over for a few days holiday, so we managed to catch up with them at Lynn's house in Newtownards. The weather was nothing short of brilliant. Nathan joined in and had a great toddle about. all in all a great day. Just a few snaps I took over the course of the weekend.

My first Model

Had a lovely day to day. Lorraine and I were off work together for once. Lorraine's sister Lynn came down for a visit and some shopping in Banbridge. When the girls arrived home from town I was playing with my cameras, as you do!. So needless to say I took a few shots. Lynn was my first ever model about 28 years ago, I had a small DIY studio set up in the attick of our first house. So it is nice that I can still talk her into a picture or two. Thanks Lynn.
This was taken in our kitchen using two small strobes, one bounced of the wall LHS, one behind, VAL (voice activated light stand).

Lynn & Angus had a BBQ

With George, Collette, Rebeca and Grace over from London, it was an opportunity for everyone to get together. Lynn and Angus just had some work done to the back of the house so a BBQ was a good option. The weather forecast was very bad, but do you know what it didn't rain at all and we had a great night. Finished off with some board games.
