Solitude Park not a pretty sight

I had about 3/4 hour this afternoon and went for a walk with my camera in my local park. the images below would give a fair indication as to the state of the park. Not a pretty sight and a little bit depressing for what is supposed to be a premier Northern Ireland Town.

Samson & Goliath

Born in Belfast and having worked in Belfast Harbour for twelve years the iconic outline of the cranes at Harland's have not lost their appeal. But now the access is even better and it's possible to get very close to the two giants that dominate Belfast's skyline. I had a long drive to -day so I took along my camera thinking that a few moments here and there would break up the journey. I passed my the windmill at Millisle, a post box in the middle of no were, Visited the Thompson Dock where the Titanic was built and the two big lads at Harland's. Not bad for one day!

Should it not be the other end ?

Scrabble

What Year ?

I took this photo during the summer but it could have been taken in the 50s I think It just has that look about it?

Have you ever been Ibble dibbled?

We had a party at the house during the sumer and Laraine taught us a game called Ibble Dibble. Its basically a memory game but it turned out to be such fun. You can see from the number of ibbles on peoples faces who has the worst memory.

POV

What is POV I hear you ask. POV stands for Point Of View, its all about getting the camera in unusual places to capture an image. It is much more difficult than I would seem. In this photo I was trying to give a sense of movement while trying to keep the image sharp this has only partially worked. This is something I want to get to grips with before the summer as i have a number of projects in mind.
For this shot I had the camera clamped to the forks of my bike and triggered the camera using a remote trigger. I love this stuff, very technical just up my street!
