Jeans Story
Hi Guys, Many of you who call into this blog every now and again know my friend Jean McCracken. She is going through a very difficult path with breast cancer. Jean has just gone through surgery. She wants to share her story with as many people as possible so she has started a blog. Please check it out in the days ahead and I guarantee you that you will be blessed, as I know I have.

Nathan John Lewis
Let me introduce you to our Grandson Nathan John Lewis, Hes was born today at 13.20 hours. He weighed in at 8lbs 9 oz.
Elaine and Jonathan had a very long, hard journey together to bring Nathan into the world. As you can see is doing great. It was wonderful just to hold him tonight up at the hospital although I don't think it has fully sunk in, it was all a bit surreal.
The little red and black hat was specially knit for him in anticipation of going to watch and support Crusaders Football Team, just like his fathers who had the same done for him many years ago..

Teddies
Lorraine's friend Shirley asked her to knit a few Teddies as she was making a trip to Uganda in the summer. This is the line up. I think they are very good and all have a character of their own. My personal favourite is victor with the red jumper.

Star Wars walk on part for me!!
To my surprise I received a phone from Luke (Skywalker) of Friday. He was more or less in a tight spot as they had started filming for the next Star Wars film and they were desperately short of Storm troupers. I jumped at the chance and rushed home to try on my new costume. Apparently I am going to be on set every day and wearing the new costume and accessories for the next 6 weeks.
Lorraine took a couple of photos what do you think?????

Laraines big BBQ
Last night we had a great night of fun and Craic at Laraine & Jim's. Even though it had rained all day it cleared and we were able to eat outside in comfort. We later played some games Uno and Jenga. It's hard to believe how much fun you can have with a few bits of wood and the right company. The reason for the BBQ was to celebrate the engagement of their daughter Laura to Daren.

The Big Night rounded off
The big night is all done and dusted. The Exhibition started of at around 7.30pm with a few speeches. There was a great turnout and with both theatres in use there were a lot of the general public there as well. The whole evening was rounded off for me by Winnie turning up. Winnie was very helpful and as two of my three images were off her it was very fitting that she should be there. Winnie has been on a year out in France and had just arrived home, so it was well timed. I was exhausted by the end of the evening having stood on one leg for most of it. Lorraine was a great help and we were well supported by family and friends.
