POV

What is POV I hear you ask. POV stands for Point Of View, its all about getting the camera in unusual places to capture an image. It is much more difficult than I would seem. In this photo I was trying to give a sense of movement while trying to keep the image sharp this has only partially worked. This is something I want to get to grips with before the summer as i have a number of projects in mind.
For this shot I had the camera clamped to the forks of my bike and triggered the camera using a remote trigger. I love this stuff, very technical just up my street!

Hello John

I'm not into photography myself, and I wasn't even looking for your blog - but I thought it would be nice to tell you how I came across this page...

Do you realize that (another) John Lewis was a very famous jazz pianist - most notably with the Modern Jazz Quartet - who recorded an (now impossible to find) chamber music-type jazz lp called 'POV' somewhere round 1970? Just a funny coincidence!

Good luck with your blog!

It was not really impossible to find this nice LP. I just got it from ebay, and it's really nice.
