Just back from our annual canoe/camping trip to Fermanagh. Wallace, Richard, Big Jim and myself headed down to Carry Bridge on Friday night. We paddled to a secret island and soon had our camp fire alight. The object of the weekend is to build a fire, eat as much and as well as possible and to have a bit of craic. Sometimes we do a bit of paddling as well, but the icing on the cake is to use the wind and sail as much as possible. We had a hard paddle on Saturday, 4 hours against the wind to find the cafe closed? We sailed back to camp in 20 mins using the wind, which was great. NI has a lot to learn about tourism, why would you not be open for Bank Holiday weekend????
